CONTEXT
To raise awareness about firework safety during New Year’s Eve, Khora produced a dramatic 360º video showcasing the dangers of not wearing safety goggles. The campaign targeted the Danish public through social media and interactive pop-up VR events. The aim was to reduce the number of injuries related to fireworks during the celebrations.
SOLUTION
The 360º video was distributed across Facebook, YouTube, and pop-up VR stations nationwide, immersing viewers in a lifelike scenario of a firework accident. For the New Year, a more intense version was created, adding sensory stimulation to the experience to deepen realism. Both videos were shared and supported by media coverage on national TV.
IMPACT
The first campaign reached +165,000 views and 1,200 live VR participants, contributing to a 4.9% drop in injuries during the 2017/2018 New Year. The second campaign topped 1 million views, cementing its viral success. The initiative earned a Digital Communications Award and a European Excellence Certificate, and repeated collaborations with the client.
